Letter to President: Operation rescue Nigeria

DEAR SIR,
I want to express my appreciation for the way you
have been running the  affairs of our nation since
you assumed office as our President, and
Commander-  in-Chief of Nigeria Armed Forces. At
the same time, I want to use this opportunity  to
thank God for the successful conduct of the election
that brought you to power.

However, I will advise that you take note of these
areas of our national life:

1.That Nigeria is more divided along tribal, religious,
and regional lines than
when you first led this country.

2.Corruption then was like a child’s play, compared
to what we have today.

3.The rate of crime now is unprecedented in our
nation’s history, because today there are other
crimes such as ritual killings, armed robbery,
terrorism, kidnapping, pipe line vandalism, illegal oil
bunker), etc.

These are as a result of corruption, tribalism,
nepotism and the type of constitution, laws or
system we operate. The law that is so cruel and
wicked to the poor but so compassionate and
lenient to the rich. The law that sends the poor to
five/ ten years jail for stealing a goat or hen but
frees the rich and powerful for stealing billions of
Naira/ dollars on so called technical ground, that
must be stopped if Nigeria must survive.

Mr. President, there is need to make a policy
statement on your mission to save our nation from
total ruin and your vision for Nigeria for years to
come. We love your sacrifice and patriotism when
you and the Vice President gave 50% of  your salary
to your country. But you must go a step further, that
all those who  want to work for this country must do
the same, especially, the National Assembly
members, governors, ministers, commissioners,
judges, head of government agencies,
ambassadors, High commissioners, etc. There must
be a determined effort to bridge the gap between
the rich and the poor.

As the father of the nation, you must “take the bull
by the horn”. I am not saying you should dictate to
the people but there is need to tell our people why
they must show patriotism and be ready to make
sacrifices if we want to see Nigeria of our dream,
beginning with all Nigerians, National Assembly
Members, Labour union Leaders, students,
Judiciary, Medical Workers,  the Armed Forces,
your party, that “a house divided against itself
cannot stand”.

The North through the Emirs, the idea that “this is
our time” should be put aside for the good of the
country. Everybody should see himself/ herself first
as a Nigerian, before place of birth or tribe. We
should do things that will unite not divide us. If we
want to see a united Nigeria, We must amend our
constitution that any child born in any part of the
country is a citizen of that  state, and any law
abiding Nigerian who lives and works for up to ten
years in any part or state in Nigeria should be a
citizen of that state.

Terrorism/investment
Mr. President, Sir, you will agree with me that it is
cheaper to prevent crime than fight it.  We should
not forget the adage which says “if we want peace,
prepare for war”. At the moment, the terrorists are
ahead of our Security Forces/ Agencies when it
comes to information, strategy, surveillance and
possibly weaponry.

Where robbers take over a bank for two to three
hours without hindrance and get away with their
loot is unacceptable and embarrassing. The
Government should have a “Task force of Army,
Navy, Air force, Police, supported  and funded by
federal, State, and Private sectors as was done
under former governor of Lagos State, Raji Fashola
but it can be upgraded. Their duty amongst others
is to monitor, constant surveillance, patrol the
streets, high ways, Airport, seaports, starting from
our borders, offices, etc, fight crime and corruption
which today one not only perceives the odour,
stares one in the face.

If we would attract foreign investors, then there is
need to more work in our human relationships
particularly at the airports. This is every visitor’s
first place of call when they get to the country. So
poor is our human relations that it’s a complete put
off.

N NPC/ Oil:
The first refinery in Nigeria was  built by Shell. So it
is not out of place if the Government should
introduce a policy that all companies given license
to explore oil and gas, and is able to produce up to
one hundred thousand (100,000) barrels per day,
must build a standard refinery. Those who cannot
do so should give way for those who are wiling so
that, if possible, we should be able to refine all our
productions and export to other African countries.

This will help to create jobs and increase our
foreign reserve. The Government must know the
correct  landing cost of imported fuel/ petroleum
products to Nigeria. It would be better if it is duty
free or 5% duty for logistics than for this subsidy to
continue. The subsidy money can be used to build
roads, rails, for electricity, schools, hospitals, etc.

Another area the Government should beam its
search light on is the cost of running its activities
and deliberate on plans to remove all the
abnormalities in the constitution which is slowing
down the progress of this country, encourages
corruption and crime, and things that bring division
among us instead of unity.

Government should assemble seasoned judicial
Officials and patriotic lawyers to be headed by His
Excellency, the Vice President being a seasoned
lawyer himself, to amend those areas that have
some irregularities and forwarded same to the
National Assembly for consideration and onward
passage into law. Create special Court to try cases
such as corruption, armed robbery, terrorism,
kidnapping, pipeline vandalism, ritual killings, for
speedy dispensation of justice, even in the normal
Court of Law.

The number of Ministers should not be more than
twelve, USA and UK are example, and should be
based on zones not states, that is, two Ministers
from each of the six geo-political zones. The
government should aim at using 40% of its revenue
for recurrent expenditure and 60% for capital
projects for now, and work towards 75% for capital
projects after all the loopholes and leakages had
been taken care of.

I pray that God will give you and your team, the
wisdom of King Solomon to lead our people to the
promise land. Amen.

Mr. Sam Imadonmwiyi, a public affairs analyst,

Nigerian govt. planning zero-based budgeting for 2016

The Federal Government is
planning to use a zero-based
budgeting format for its 2016
budget planning, Vice President
Yemi Osinbajo has said.

The Vice President said the zero-
based budgeting would be
carefully coordinated to ensure
that it is policy-driven, especially
regarding the proposed social
intervention policy of the Buhari
administration.

Zero-based budgeting is planning
according to needs and costs,
different from the existing
Envelope Budgeting or
traditionally incremental
budgeting whereby the planning is
based on existing income and
expenditure as the deciding factor
in national financial planning
levels, which often incurs waste
and assumes previous costs as
constant.

According to spokesperson Laolu
Akande, Mr. Osinbajo, a professor,
spoke Monday in his office during
a courtesy visit by the National
Economic Summit Group (NESG).

Earlier Tuesday, the Vice President
also met with a delegation from
the Chartered Institute of
Stockbrokers (CIS) and the
Association of Stockbroking
Houses of Nigeria (ASHON).

The Vice President, according to a
statement by Akande, also told the
NESG that the introduction of the
new Treasury Single Account [TSA]
policy and its implementation by
ministries, departments and
agencies was a creative way of
blocking leakages in the system to
make way for a workable budget.

He said with the zero-based
budgeting, the Federal
Government would also focus on a
bottom-up approach to
development.

He disclosed further that the
Federal Government was planning
to set up an infrastructure fund in
order to facilitate easy funding for
critical areas of the economy.

The infrastructure fund, according to the Vice
President, would be planned outside of the
budget, to handle major segments of the
economy such as road and power.

“Government is working out a document that
would guide the administration within the four
years of its life-span”, he disclosed.
During the meeting with the NESG, the
delegation praised the Federal Government for
the introduction of the new TSA policy and
offered to be part of the advocacy as a sound
financial policy.

During his meeting Tuesday with the delegation
of Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS) and
the Association of Stockbroking Houses of
Nigeria, the Vice President disclosed that the
Federal Government would explore the avenue
of utilizing the capital market as another means
of providing alternative funding options for the
execution of capital projects.

He also observed that allowing retail investors
to come into the nation’s capital market
ultimately would deepen the market with
potentials for multiplier effects on other sectors
of the economy.

The Vice President stated that some of the
problems of the capital market was due to
unethical practices by some market operators.
He said those who caused the crash in the
market in the past were not punished and called
on the two bodies to engage in self-regulation
as a means of protecting investors and the
market.

In his remarks during the visit, the leader of
the delegation and Acting President of CIS,
Oluwaseyi Abe, commended the achievements
of the Buhari administration within 100 days,
especially its impact on security, power and the
anti-corruption crusade, noting its positive
effects on the overall economy.
He therefore remarked that a new Nigeria was
being formed under the present leadership of
President Muhammadu Buhari.

Tom Holland Is Marvel's ‘Spider-Man’, Director Announced

Sony and Marvel Studios are proud to announce that after a full worldwide
casting search, Tom Holland will play Peter Parker /Spider-Man in the next Spider-
Man film, in theaters in IMAX and 3D on July 28, 2017. The film will be directed
by Jon Watts , director of Cop Car , the upcoming thriller that made its debut
earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival.
Marvel and Sony Pictures, and producers Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal conducted
an extensive search for both the actor and the director. The studios and producers
were impressed by Tom Holland's performances in The Impossible , Wolf Hall and
the upcoming In the Heart of the Sea , and by a series of complex screen tests.
Following Marvel 's tradition of working with the brightest next wave of directors,
Watts also went through multiple meetings with Feige , Pascal and the studio,
before winning the job.
Commenting on the announcement, Tom Rothman , Sony Pictures Motion Pictures
Group Chairman, released the following statement.
“ "It's a big day here at Sony. Kevin , Amy and their teams have done
an incredible job. The Marvel process is very thorough, and that's why
their results are so outstanding. I'm confident Spider-Man will be no
exception. I've worked with a number of up-and-coming directors who
have gone on to be superstars and believe that Jon is just such an
outstanding talent. For Spidey himself, we saw many terrific young actors,
but Tom 's screen tests were special. All in all, we are off to a roaring start."
Producer Kevin Feige had this to say in his statement.
‘ "As with James Gunn, Joss Whedon , and the Russo brothers, we love
finding new and exciting voices to bring these characters to life. We spent
a lot of time with Jon and find his take and work inspiring."
Amy Pascal added her own statement.
‘ "Sony, Marvel, Kevin and I all knew that for Peter Parker, we had to
find a vibrant, talented young actor capable of embodying one of the most
well-known characters in the world. With Tom , we've found the perfect
actor to bring Spider-Man 's story into the Marvel Cinematic Universe."
Sony Pictures will finance and release worldwide the next installment of the $4
billion Spider-Man franchise on July 28, 2017, in a film co-produced by Kevin
Feige and his expert team at Marvel and Amy Pascal , who oversaw the franchise
launch for the studio 13 years ago. Together, they will collaborate on a new
creative direction for the Web-Slinger. Spider-Man , embraced all over the world,
is the most successful franchise in the history of Sony Pictures, with the five films
having taken in more than $4 billion worldwide.

Batman’ Solo Movie Directed by Ben Affleck

Warning! SPOILERS Ahead! After Ben Affleck 's Batman debuts in Batman v
Superman: Dawn of Justice next year, we know he'll also make an appearance in
Suicide Squad and then in Justice League Part 1 and Justice League Part 2 . With
four appearances over three years, you may think that would be enough to tide
Batman fans over for awhile. But it seems we may be getting even more of The
Dark Knight . Today we have a report from Latino-Review that claims Warner
Bros. is also developing a standalone Batman movie, which Ben Affleck will both
star in and direct, debuting in 2018.
The movie is reportedly called The Batman, with Ben Affleck directing from a
script by Chris Terrio. Terrio wrote the revised script for Batman v Superman and
is also writing Justice League Part 1 and Justice League Part 2 . The writer also
won an Oscar for writing Best Picture winner Argo, which Ben Affleck directed.
We first reported on The Batman last June, but we have yet to hear any
confirmation from the studio. This new report claims that it will be released in
November 2018, which is interesting because that would be pitting it against
Marvel Studios' Captain Marvel , set for release on November 2, 2018. While
Warner Bros. surely won't put this Batman movie on the same date, putting it in
November would still likely hamper Captain Marvel 's box office numbers.
If this unconfirmed report is true, that would give Warner Bros. and DC three
2018 movies, following The Flash (March 23, 2018) and Aquaman (July 27, 2018).
Naturally, we have no clue what the story of The Batman will entail, but it's
possible that Warner Bros. will officially announces these plans for the movie at
their Comic-Con presentation in just a few short weeks. Are you looking forward
to Ben Affleck in his own solo Batman movie?

'Captain America 3' Update on 'Civil War', Black Panther

Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely were present at the TCA Winter Tour yesterday to promote their ABC series Marvel's Agent Carter, but the writers also shed new light on their highly-anticipated superhero sequel Captain America: Civil War, which kicks off Marvel Phase Three next year. The writers teased that the Civil War story line, which pits Avengers Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and Captain America (Chris Evans) against each other, has been in the works for quite some time. Here's what Stephen McFeely had to say in an interview with IGN.
"It's been on and off the table for a while, let's put it that way. And it's a challenge to do it and make sure that all the characters that we've established, and everyone's established in the MCU are serviced and sound correct, right? Because there's a difference between the characters in Civil War, which was written in 2006, 2007. The MCU doesn't exist [when it was written]. There isn't a Robert Downey Jr. or Chris Evans who has helped create the character so we need to make sure that that template gets adjusted and what have you in order to make sure it services these characters and not just sort of rip off their parts and make them look like them."
The writers' Marvel's Agent Carter series establishes Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) and her working relationship with Tony Stark's (Robert Downey Jr.) father, Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper). When asked how Peggy may be featured in Captain America: Civil War, Stephen McFeely had this to say.
"As we have not started shooting, and I'm on my fourth draft of many, that question [of who Peggy was to Tony Stark] has been in and out all over the place so who knows. So many things can shake out but we've had conversations and we pitched scenes. Some stay and some don't. But we saw [Peggy] in Winter Soldier, so we know she's around."
The writer was even more vague when asked how Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther will be introduced in Captain America: Civil War.
"I'll keep that one close to the vest, but I'm very gratified that they went with Chadwick and that he said yes because he's a good get."
What do you think about these new Captain America: Civil War details? Do you think we'll see Peggy Carter in this Phase Three Adventure? How will Black Panther fit into the story? Chime in with your thoughts below, and stay tuned for more details.
Captain America: Civil War comes to theaters May 6th, 2016 and stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Frank Grillo, Chadwick Boseman, Daniel Brühl. The film is directed by Anthony Russo, Joe Russo.

'Jurassic World' Poster Teases Arrival of Indominus Rex

Earlier this month, new promo art from Universal's Jurassic World gave us our best look at the action-adventure's brand new dinosaur, the Indominus Rex, a.k.a. D-Rex. Today, the official website for Jurassic World was updated with a new poster teasing Indominus Rex, giving us a close-up look at the massive teeth this dinosaur uses to destroy its prey. The website also reveals that this dinosaur stands 40 feet tall, and was brought to life in the Hammond Creation Lab at the Jurassic World resort. Take a look at the official description of Indominus Rex from the website.
"We set out to make Indominus the most fearsome dinosaur ever to be displayed at Jurassic World. The genetic engineers at our Hammond Creation Lab have more than delivered. At first glance, Indominus most closely resembles a T. Rex. But its distinctive head ornamentation and ultra-tough bony osteoderms can be traced from Theropods known as Abeliosaurs. Indominus' horns have been placed above the eye orbit through genetic material hybridized from Carnotaurus, Majungasaurus, Rugops and Giganotosaurus. Fearsome indeed. Indominus' roar is estimated to reach 140-160db-the same as a 747 taking off and landing. And it can reach speeds of 30 mph...while confined to its enclosure. Come experience Indominus Rex for yourself beginning this summer. If you dare."
Unfortunately, the D-Rex wasn't put on display in the first trailer that arrived back in November, but director Colin Trevorrow's action-packed sequel will release a new trailer during the Super Bowl this weekend. Could this be the first time we see Indominus Rex in action? Take a look at the photos below, and let us know what you think about this massive dinosaur.

'Terminator Genisys' Super Bowl Trailer

Just one day after we reported that Terminator Genisys will have a presence at Super Bowl XLIX, Paramount Pictures has released their full "Big Game" trailer from this highly-anticipated sci-fi action sequel. Arnold Schwarzenegger is back as the T-800 Terminator, and, although his classic catch phrase is still intact, this isn't the same killing machine we've seen in the earlier Terminator movies. The aging cyborg has actually served as Sarah Connor's guardian ever since she was a child, which comes as quite a surprise to Kyle Reese when he is sent back to 1984.
When John Connor (Jason Clarke), leader of the human resistance, sends Sgt. Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back to 1984 to protect Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) and safeguard the future, an unexpected turn of events creates a fractured timeline. Now, Sgt. Reese finds himself in a new and unfamiliar version of the past, where he is faced with unlikely allies, including the Guardian (Arnold Schwarzenegger), dangerous new enemies, and an unexpected new mission: To reset the future.
In addition, Paramount Pictures has released a new poster showcasing Arnold Schwarzenegger as a battle-torn cyborg in this highly-anticipated summer action-thriller from director Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World). Take a look at the new footage and one-sheet below before Terminator Genisys hits theaters July 1.
Terminator Genisys comes to theaters July 1st, 2015 and stars Emilia Clarke, J.K. Simmons, Jai Courtney, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Matt Smith, Jason Clarke, Byung-hun Lee, Douglas Smith. The film is directed by Alan Taylor.

First 'Supergirl' Villain Hints at Superman Presence

Two main pieces of the casting puzzle for CBS' Supergirl are already in place, with Melissa Benoist set to play the title character, Kara Zor-el, and Mehcad Brooks signing on earlier this week to play photographer Jimmy Olsen. Ever since the project was announced this past fall, fans have been wondering whether or not Kara's cousin, Superman, will have a presence on the show. While the Man of Steel himself has yet to be confirmed, a new report from TV Line reveals that the network is seeking an actor to play the show's main villain, Lumberjack, who has battled with Superman in the DC Comics.
CBS is reportedly seeking a "hulk akin to" Rory McCann, the 6-foot-6 actor who plays Sandor "The Hound" Clegane on HBO's hit series Game of Thrones, for Lumberjack. The character is described as a, "big, burly monster of a man, who has battled Kara's cousin in the past." Lumberjack pops up in the series to test Supergirl's powers, on behalf of an unknown superior villain.
Lumberjack has not been featured on any of the current TV shows based on DC Comics, such as Gotham, Arrow, The Flash or Constantine. Even if Superman doesn't show up, the fact that Lumberjack's battles with Superman are mentioned here, likely means that, at the very least, the Man of Steel will be referenced in the show. If Superman does show up, it will likely be to aid in Kara's development as a superhero, since the series focuses on her finally embracing her abilities at 24 years of age, after hiding her super-human abilities ever since coming to Earth before Krypton's destruction. Who do you think should play Lumberjack in Supergirl

'Ted 2' Trailer: The Bear Is Back!

Following the first photo released in December and the poster that debuted just a few days ago, Universal Pictures has finally released the first trailer for Ted 2, which debuted on the official website LegalizeTed.com. Mark Wahlberg reprises his role as John Bennett from Ted, which set box office records in 2012 as the highest-grossing original R-rated comedy in cinematic history. Also back for more R-rated debauchery are Seth MacFarlane, who writes, directs, produces and provides the voice of Ted, alongside Mila Kunis, Patrick Warburton and Jessica Barth.
The sequel also features a slew of new cast members including Amanda Seyfried as John's new love interest and Morgan Freeman, Dennis Haysbert and Liam Neeson. Very little is known about the story, but it is poised to be another box office hit this June. This time out, Ted is getting married and needs his best friend John to supply the sperm for his bride's new baby. But before he can become a father, Ted must prove that he is human in a court of law. Let's just say that the judge may just be on his side!
Seth MacFarlane directs from a script he co-wrote with Alec Sulkin & Wellesley Wild, with Scott Stuber producing with John Jacobs and Jason Clark. Check out the new footage below, and tell us what you think about this highly-anticipated comedy sequel. Do you think it will be just as successful as the first?

Ted 2 comes to theaters June 26th, 2015 and stars Luis Salazar, Liam Neeson, Mark Wahlberg, Amanda Seyfried, Morgan Freeman, Seth MacFarlane, Patrick Warburton, Dennis Haysbert. The film is directed by Seth MacFarlane

'Batman v Superman': Weta VFX Artist Teases Epic Scene

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is easily one of the most anticipated movies of the next few years, and with principal photography wrapped earlier this month, fans are eagerly awaiting more information about this DC Comics superhero adventure. We still don't have any confirmed story details as of yet, and the only footage we've seen came from Comic-Con this summer, where Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill) were seen squaring off against each other. During an interview with Collider, Weta Digital's Joe Letteri, who is currently working on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, was asked if he had any part in the Comic-Con footage. The VFX artist revealed that he did not, but he did tease a "self-contained sequence."
"No, we're doing a completely different sequence. The sequence we're doing is sort of self-contained, and I don't think you've seen any of that yet. It is a stand-alone sequence, and I think you'll be able to pick it out, when you do see it."
Naturally, Joe Letteri wouldn't divulge any further details about the scene, but if fans will be able to "pick it out," it certainly seems that it will be one of the more memorable sequences in this superhero adventure. Of course, just because Joe Letteri didn't work on the Comic-Con footage doesn't mean that he isn't involved in perhaps a different sequence that shows Batman and Superman engaging in battle. What "self-contained" scene could it be? It's anyone's guess at this point, but stay tuned for more details on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, arriving in theaters March 25, 2016.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice comes to theaters March 25th, 2016 and stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons. The film is directed by Zack Snyder.

Jesse Eisenberg Wants to Return as Lex Luthor; But When?

We still have nearly a year and a half until Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters, but it's clear that this superhero adventure is just the start of the massive DC Comics movie universe. Warner Bros. and DC announced their slate of upcoming releases back in October, which includes Suicide Squad, a two-part Justice League movie and stand-alone adventures for Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, Shazam!, Cyborg and Green Lantern. Variety recently caught up with Jesse Eisenberg, who plays Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice villain Lex Luthor, and asked if he would be willing to reprise his role in a Superman sequel. Here's what he had to say below.
"I would love to. It's a great group and director, and the most ideal character to play."
The actor is currently filming Now You See Me 2: The Second Act, with the first cast photo revealing the actor sporting a look that hints he recently shaved his head, most likely for the Lex Luthor role. A report from June revealed that the actor was seen sporting, "a long, straight, surfer mop" of blonde hair, but that was towards the beginning of the production, with a September report hinting that the actor did in fact shave his scalp. When asked if he still has a bald dome, the actor replied:
"I can't say anything about this stuff. They want all this to be a surprise."
He also added that he never was a fan of Superman as a child, and that he only recently caught up with the Superman movies to get context for his role:
"Oh, just to understand the context of this one. But no, not as a child."
As far as Jesse Eisenberg returning as Lex Luthor, it has been rumored that he will reprise his role in Warner Bros. Suicide Squad, which starts production this April in Toronto. New plot details that were leaked earlier this week reveal that the Suicide Squad's mission is to stop Lex Luthor from buying "bio weaponry" from a gang of terrorists, although those details have yet to be confirmed either. Would you like to see Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor in Suicide Squad or other future Warner Bros/DC movies? Chime in with your thoughts below.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice comes to theaters March 25th, 2016 and stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons. The film is directed by Zack Snyder.

'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice': New movie trailer update

While there is no word on when the trailer of Zack Snyder's upcoming film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will be playing, there are several rumors which indicate that it is just around the corner. According to Comicbook.com, there will be a number of movie trailers to be played during the Super Bowl XLIX, and the list just might include the highly-anticipated DC flick.  Other trailers expected to be shown during matchup between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks include "Jurassic World," "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," and "Avengers: Age of Ultron."
While majority of superhero movie buffs and sports fans will be viewing the match on Sunday to witness the best of both worlds, there are some who are not convinced that the trailer will be shown during the Super Bowl match. Umberto Gonzalez (El Mayimbe) of Latino-Review stated on his Twitter account on Jan. 7 that the trailer of the superhero film will be playing alongside another one of Warner Bros.' movies, "Jupiter Ascending." "Jupiter Ascending," a space opera starring Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis, will strike theaters on Feb. 6.
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is inspired by Frank Miller's graphic novel, "The Dark Knight Returns Part 1 and Part 2." Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck are the primary stars of the film as they will take on the roles of Superman and Batman, respectively. Gal Gadot will be appearing as the Amazonian warrior Wonder Woman from the island Themyscira, while Jason Mamoa, who is well known for portraying the Dothraki leader Khal Drogo, will make an appearance in the film as Aquaman. Other big names in the movie include Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, and Jeremy Irons. Jesse Eisenberg will be playing the intellectually gifted but malicious Lex Luthor and it has also been rumored that he will be making an appearance in "Suicide Squad."
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is scheduled to be released on March 25, 2016.

Ryan Reynolds: 'Deadpool' Is the Movie We Want to Make

With production slated to begin this March in Vancouver,
the long-awaited Deadpool movie starring Ryan Reynolds is
finally happening, with 20th Century Fox setting a February
12, 2016 release date back in September. MTV caught up
with Ryan Reynolds at the Sundance Film Festival, where he
was on hand for the premiere of his new movie Mississippi
Grind . Deadpool has been in the works for several years,
ever since Ryan Reynolds played the Merc With the Mouth
in 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The actor reveals that
the project is moving forward in the right way, saying that
it's actually a blessing that they don't have the inflated
budget most superhero movies have:
"It's been a long time, but it's happened in the right
way and that's all that matters. We don't have the
kind of money that most superhero movies do, but that's
great, actually. Necessity is the mother of invention, and
that's why we get to make the movie we want to make."
A few years after X-Men Origins: Wolverine hit theaters,
Ryan Reynolds starred as Hal Jordan in Warner Bros.' DC
Comics adaptation Green Lantern, which wasn't received
too well by audiences and critics alike. When asked if Green
Lantern's failure has put even more pressure on him to
deliver a hit with Deadpool , the actor had this to say.
"No, no, no, of course not. You gotta have faith in
the people you're working with, and have faith in the
prep, and that's all I'm doing. On this one, the prep's been
11 years. You'd like to think you're putting your best foot
forward, but we'll see."
Back in July , test footage from Deadpool leaked online,
which was met by a positive and enthusiastic response from
fans around the world. Many thought that the leaked footage
was instrumental in 20th Century Fox finally giving the
green light for the movie just a few months later, but it still
isn't known if that is the case, or who actually leaked the
footage in the first place. When asked if he leaked the
footage himself, Ryan Reynolds had this to say.
"I would have Fox's lawyers so far up my ass they
could smell Wade Wilson's feet. No, no, no I didn't
leak it. But I would have. Looking back now, in a heartbeat. I
should go home and scan the old hard drive and see what
I've got in there."
VFX artist Tim Miller is directing Deadpool from a script by

'Justice League' Script Too Complex for General Audiences?

If rumors about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice are
true, fans will get their first look at a newly formed
superhero ensemble at the end of this adventure, before
Justice League Part 1 (November 11, 2017) and Justice
League Part 2 (June 14, 2019) debut. While fans still have
nearly three years to wait for the first Justice League movie,
a new rumor has surfaced from Tech Times claiming that a
script has already been turned in. Although, it does have
some problems. Mainly that it is far 'too long and
complicated' for the average moviegoer to comprehend.
While comic book fans shouldn't have any issues following
the story, its explained that "fans are the minority here."
According to this report, the screenplay will need to be
'simplified'. This rumor also says that Vril Dox, the original
identity of Brainiac in the New 52 comics, is the villain.
In the original comics, Vril Dox was a descendant of the
original Brainiac, but he was changed to the alien who first
becomes Brainiac in the New 52 reboot comics. The movie
is reportedly going by the name Justice League: Brainiac's
Saga , with Justice League Part 1 marking the first time
Brainiac has ever been seen on the big screen. While this
has not been confirmed by Warner Bros. or DC Comics, this
report does fall in line with an October story that claimed
Justice League writer Chris Terrio (Batman v Superman:
Dawn of Justice , Argo ) is using Brainiac as the main Justice
League villain, whose presence will be set up at the end of
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice . That report also
revealed that another important villain, Darkseid, is, "being
saved for later."
It isn't known at this time if Chris Terrio is working on
another draft of the Justice League script, of if Warner Bros.
is seeking a new writer to take over the project. Of course,
even if Brainiac/Vril Dox is the Justice League villain, it isn't
clear yet how he will fit into the story line. Are you glad that
Brainiac may be the main nemesis in the two-part Justice
League movie? Do you think it should be called Justice
League: Brainiac Saga ? Chime in with your thoughts below.
Justice League Part 1 comes to theaters November 11th,
2017 and stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Gal
Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller. The film is directed by
Zack Snyder.
Justice League Part 2 comes to theaters June 14th, 2019 .
The film is directed by Zack Snyder.

Robert Downey Jr. Talks Iron Man in 'Captain America 3'

Next year's Captain America: Civil War kicks off Marvel's
nine-movie Phase Three , which will signal major changes
within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. During the studio's
October press event , Marvel confirmed the Civil War title,
and that Robert Downey Jr. will star as Iron Man, alongside
Chris Evans as Captain America and Chadwick Boseman as
Black Panther. The story will be based on the Civil War
comics, where Tony Stark feuds with Steve Rogers over the
Sueprhero Registration Act. The comic book essentially
transformed Stark into a villain, as he found himself at odds
with his fellow Avengers and even cloning Thor in the
process. When asked about the possibility of playing a
villain, in a new interview with Empire , Robert Downey Jr.
had this to say, hinting that fans will start to see changes in
his character in this year's Avengers: Age of Ultron .
"It's natural to change your views. The main thing to
me is, what sort of incident could occur, and what
sort of framework could we find Tony in? The clues about
where we might find him next are in Ultron . But what would
it take for Tony to completely turn around everything he's
stood for? Joss (Whedon) brings this up all the time. It's
kind of weird that these guys would have all these throw
downs all over planet Earth and yet when the movie's over,
nobody minds. What would the American government do if
this were real? Wouldn't it be interesting to see Tony doing
something you wouldn't imagine?"
When asked if he will play Marvel's next great villain in
Captain America: Civil War , Robert Downey Jr. had this to
say.
"I wouldn't put it that way. The biggest question is,
for Chris and for Cap, how do we bring Cap to a
place where people go, 'Man, I never thought I would see
such a vast change in Steve.' After you see Snowpiercer ,
you're like, 'I want to see a little bit of that guy.'"
Robert Downey Jr. also talked about how Marvel wanted to
bring him in for the Civil War story line, and how they would
have to go in another direction if he wasn't on board.
"They said to me, 'If we have you, we can do this, or
Cap 3 has to be something else.' It's nice to feel
needed. And at this point it's about helping each other, too. I
look at it as a competition and I go, 'Wow, maybe if these
two franchises teamed up and I can take even a lesser
position, with people I like and directors I respect, maybe
we can keep things bumping along.'"
Captain America: Civil War comes to theaters May 6th, 2016
and stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Frank Grillo,
Chadwick Boseman, Daniel Brühl. The film is directed by
Anthony Russo, Joe Russo.

'Mission: Impossible 5' Gets New July 2015 Release Date

Good news for Tom Cruise fans! Paramount Pictures has
moved the impending sequel Mission: Impossible 5 from it's
Christmas Day 2015 release slot to a much more appealing
summer date. The shift was presumably made to get the
movie out of the way of next winter's Star Wars: The Force
Awakens , which is set to open a week earlier on December
18.
Mission: Impossible 5 moves from December 25 to July 31,
a full five months earlier than expected. While no plot
details have been officially divulged at this time, it is known
that Tom Cruise will return as Ethan Hunt. He will be joined
by past franchise stars Jeremy Renner , Paula Patton, Ving
Rhames and Simon Pegg . Director Christopher McQuarrie ,
who worked with Tom Cruise on the 2012 adaptation Jack
Reacher , has already completed principal photography on
Mission: Impossible 5 , and is in the midst of pos-production
on the film. A trailer is expected to arrive shortly.
Paramount recenlty moved the Sacha Baron Cohen comedy
Grimsby out of the July 31 release slot, and now we know
why. Mission: Impossible 5 will go up against Warner Bros.'
Point Break remake, Focus Features' Selfless and The
Weinstein Company's boxing drama Southpaw on this new
date. Which one are you going to see?
Mission: Impossible 5 comes to theaters December 25th,
2015 and stars Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton,
Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Alec Baldwin, Rebecca Ferguson,
Simon McBurney. The film is directed by Christopher

‘Batman v Superman’ fight choreographer teases that epic battle

Guillermo Grispo has worked with director Zack
Snyder on stunts and fight choreography for
300 , Sucker Punch , Man of Steel , and most
recently, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice .
In a new interview with Spanish website Los
Andes Diario , Grispo talks about working on the
movie and teases that epic fight between
Batman and Superman.
Unfortunately Google Translate did a terrible
job, but Batman News comic reviewer Elena and
readers Manu and Manuel sent in translations of
their own. Thanks to everyone who offered and
helped me put together this great translation
below.
How was it to prepare the fights between
Batman and Superman?
I was fascinated. I’m telling you, for me, I
like both of the characters, but Batman I
really love. In 2007 I almost worked on
the second part of Christopher Nolan’s
trilogy, but ultimately questions about the
contract were not resolved and it all fell
apart [se me cayo el mundo is idiomatic].
Luckily, afterwards Zack brought Batman
into this project, making it an origin of
the Justice League. Which means being
in charge of the entire franchise and all
the sequels that will be Zack’s next
projects.
And what role did you have in the film?
I prepared choreography for the stunt
coordinator and second unit director,
Damon Caro, who Zack has work with for
years. I worked with them on 300, Sucker
Punch and the first Superman Man of
Steel, and in truth, those movies were my
film school. To me, Zack is the biggest
name in action films, and he is an expert,
but at the same time he gives free reign
for designing the fights and doing the
editing. Also, I’m tasked [not a great
word] with operating the camera for the
action shot tests, doing the choreography,
and afterwards all of the image
composition for these kinds of sample
action scenes.
What can you tell us the story?
Look, at Warner Bros., they are very strict,
so I can’t say much, but it’s no surprise if
I say Batman and Superman come face-
to-face in the movie. It’s one of the most
important sequences and I was actively
involved in the design of the fight: the
exchange of punches and the physical
movement were put together with my
partner Ryan Watson.
There’s a thought that Batman has no
chance, that the other [Superman] will
squash him like a bug. But when you see
the movie, and how it all comes out,
there’s a very intelligent explanation as to
why they would have a firsthand
confrontation though it seems to be
totally to Batman’s disadvantage.
Sounds entertaining designing fights
between superheroes…
Of course! Just imagine, it was like
making dulce de leche (a similar thing to
chocolate here in Argentina). Now
Batman it’s going to fight the way I’ve
always dreamed seeing him fight… he’s a
character so prepared in martial arts that
you can do a lot of things with him, but
filmmakers usually don’t go all the way
with it. Even in the last Nolan movies the
action scenes aren’t very good from a
technical, martial arts point of view to
things like choreography, filming, bad
camera movements…
But hey, don’t get me wrong, Nolan is
great, my hats off to him. He makes
fascinating stories, but I think that he did
not pay too much attention to the
fights. Those are the kind of details that
Zack, being so physical himself, loves
preparing. I think there’s going to be a big
difference when you see these Batman
fights in comparison to the previous
ones.
What do you have to be careful about
when preparing these scenes?
A lot of things… You can come and say
“well, now I want to hit against that
window and I want to break it” and you’re
told “No, no, stop!”, because you can’t
turn the camera here or there because of
the lighting, or because there isn’t a
digital extension prepared for a certain
point.
For example, imagine a fight in Gotham
exteriors: I say “well, on this scene I want
an angle looking upwards when he’s
kicking”, and I’m told “no, look, if you look
upwards that take will cost the
production $80,000 more because we will
have to add the digital extension from the
buildings to the clouds, so try something
else because is cheaper” (laughs).

Henry Cavill: 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' won't be split into two parts

Los Angeles: Actor Henry Cavill has denied reports that the
upcoming "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" would be
split into two parts.
The actor, who plays Superman in the highly-anticipated
movie, refuted the rumour during a chat, reported Variety
Online.
In addition to denying the rumour, the "Man of Steel" actor
said Ben Affleck was "great" as Batman and shared that he
was not injured following fighting scenes opposite Affleck's
Caped Crusader.
"Are you kidding? I'm the Man of Steel," he joked. When
asked if "Batman v Superman" would be more epic than
"Avengers: Age of Ultron", he simply said, "You'll see."
There were reports that "Batman v Superman: Dawn of
Justice" would be split into two parts after a photo of what
appeared to be a screengrab from the movie's trailer
surfaced. "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" hits
theaters on March 25, 2016.

New 'Spider-Man' to Be Introduced in 'Avengers 3'?

Last month , when documents from Sony Pictures were
being leaked onto the internet during a massive hack, it was
revealed that the studio was in talks with Marvel for a deal
that would bring Spider-Man into the Marvel Cinematic
Universe. While Marvel was hoping to bring Spidey in for
Captain America: Civil War , the deal ultimately fell through.
Although another report from December claimed Marvel and
Sony may still be able to come to some sort of agreement.
Today, Latino-Review reports that the deal has been
finalized, and, while Spider-Man won't be seen in Captain
America: Civil War , the beloved superhero will reportedly
make his Marvel Studios debut in 2018's Avengers: Infinity
War Part 1 . Be warned that there will be plenty of SPOILERS
for several Marvel Phase Three movies throughout the rest
of this story, so read on at your own risk. And remember,
none of this is official, as there has been no confirmation
from Sony, Marvel or Disney.
Latino-Review shuts down a recent rumor that either
Andrew Garfield or Tobey Maguire may be coming back for
an alleged Sony project entitled Amazing Vs. Spider-Man ,
instead revealing that Spider-Man will be played by a new
actor in Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 . The site also
confirms a long-standing rumor that, at the end of
Avengers: Age of Ultron , there will be a new team of
Avengers, lead by Captain America (Chris Evans), while
adding that they "think" Hulk (Mark Ruffalo ) will end up
somewhere in space, although that isn't confirmed. Captain
America: Civil War will supposedly reveals that The Winter
Soldier (Sebastian Stan ) killed Howard Stark, leading to Iron
Man (Robert Downey Jr. ) and Cap fighting, ending with a big
cliffhanger where Tony Stark's whereabouts remain
unknown, and Captain America has been killed by
Crossbones (Frank Grillo ). A lot of these story details sound
like speculation on Latino-Review , it should be noted.
By the time Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 rolls around, Cap
will be dead, Thor (Chris Hemsworth ) will be imprisoned
after Thor: Ragnarok and Spider-Man will be introduced.
Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 will be "the first true test" of
the new Avengers, although there isn't a confirmed list of
who will be a part of this lineup. The site did list a number of
potential candidates, including Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-
Johnson ), Scarlet Witch ( Elizabeth Olsen ), Vision (Paul
Bettany ), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman ), Dr. Strange
(Benedict Cumberbatch ), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd ), Wasp,
Captain Marvel, Luke Cage, Daredevil, Iron Fist, Jewel/
Power Woman, any of the New Inhumans, any of the classic
Inhumans, any of the Guardians of the Galaxy, any Cosmic
Marvel characters Guardians chooses to send to Earth and
Spider-Man. Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 won't include any
of the Avengers from Phase 1 and Phase 2, because they
will all return in Avengers: Infinity War Part 2 , even the
deceased Captain America.
What do you think about these new updates? Of course,
Marvel hasn't confirmed any of these details to be true, but
if they are authentic, it could truly take Marvel to the next
level, even after all the success they've achieved up to this
point. We'll be sure to keep you posted on any further
details regarding Spider-Man, Avengers: Infinity War Part 1
and the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as soon as
more information is released.
Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 comes to theaters May 4th,
2018 and stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark
Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner,
Samuel L. Jackson.

'Batman v Superman' Won't Be Split Into Two Movies

Last week , an image reportedly from the first Batman v
Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer revealed that the movie
will be split into two parts, with the first half Batman v
Superman: Enter the Knight debuting October 23, 2015 and
the second half Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
debuting March 25, 2016. Naturally, the image's
authenticity was not confirmed by Warner Bros., but star
Henry Cavill revealed that the rumor is false, and Batman v
Superman: Dawn of Justice will be released as one movie
next March. When asked if he was injured during the epic
fight scene between himself and Ben Affleck 's Batman, the
actor had this to say.
"Are you kidding me? I'm the Man of Steel."
The actor also added that Ben Affleck is "great" as
Batman, and, when asked if this superhero adventure will be
"more epic" than Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron , he only
said, "You'll see." Unfortunately, he didn't address the rumor
that surfaced last week which revealed that the first trailer
for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be attached to
prints of Jupiter Ascending , arriving in theaters February 6.
Production wrapped on this superhero adventure last
month.
Zack Snyder is directing Batman v Superman: Dawn of
Justice , with a supporting cast that includes Amy Adams,
Diane Lane , Laurence Fishburne , Gal Gadot, Jesse
Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons , Holly Hunter and Callan Mulvey .
We'll be sure to keep you posted with any new details
regarding Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice as we
slowly inch closer to the March 25, 2016 release date. Take

from a BAFTA party in Los Angeles, where Henry Cavill
commented on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice .

'Captain America 3' Start Date and Locations Revealed

First appearing in Captain America: The Winter Soldier this
past spring, Anthony Mackie will return as the Falcon in
Captain America: Civil War , perhaps one of the most
anticipated Marvel movies announced throughout the rest of
this decade. Not only does the third chapter in the Captain
America franchise promise more Marvel characters than
ever seen in a single movie, it will also span the globe as
shooting begins this April. Talking with B96 in Chicago,
Anthony Mackie offered up a few interesting production
details.
We've known for quite sometime that Captain America: Civil
War would set up its home base in Atlanta, here in Cap's
homeland, the good old U.S. of A. But it will also be heading
to a few other locations outside of the country this spring.
Anthony Mackie sounds pretty excited about the upcoming
shoot, explaining:
"We start shooting in April. So, it's gonna be a lot of
flying and fighting for about five months...And I'm
not mad at all. [We'll be in] Puerto Rico, Berlin, and Atlanta."
The Captain America: Civil War storyline has Iron Man and
Captain America feuding over the Superhero Registration
Act, which forces anyone with super-human abilities to
register themselves with the U.S. government, and agree to
serve as part of a new police force. Stark supports the
program, while Rogers does not, believing that it threatens
the civil liberties of U.S. citizens. Rogers and others
opposing the act are forced to go on the run. This story will
also enable Stark to be a villain, of sorts, with his views
going against the rest of his Avengers teammates.
Along with Anthony Mackie as Falcon, Captain America:
Civil War will introduce Chadwick Boseman as Black
Panther, Daniel Brühl as the main villain who is rumored to
return for Doctor Strange later in 2016, and it will bring
Frank Grillo back as Crossbones, Robert Downey Jr. back as
Iron Man and Sebastian Stan back as the Winter Solider.
This may just be one of the most interesting casts lined-up
yet for a Marvel movie.

'Planet of the Apes 3' Moves to Summer 2017

Last night, 20th Century Fox decided to have a little bit of
fun with it's release schedule, mixing up a couple of dates,
moving others and announcing new ones. One move that
shouldn't come as a surprise, but may disappoint is that
Planet of the Apes 3 , the follow-up to this past summer's hit
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes , is being moved a full year
away from its original release date. While this means we'll
now have to wait two years instead of one, it also means
we'll likely get a better, less rushed movie.
Planet of the Apes 3 , which will bring back director Matt
Reeves and Andy Serkis as Caesar, was originally set for
release in July 2016, but will now hit on July 14, 2017. The
story will continue Caesar's journey as the apes continue to
conquer the world after a simian flu has wiped out most of
mankind.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has pulled in over $700
million at the worldwide box office, and is the highest
grossing film in the entire franchise, which began in 1968
with the original Planet of the Apes . Planet of the Apes 3
takes The Fantastic Four 2 's original release date, with that
Marvel sequel being moved to June 2, 2017. At this time,
Planet of the Apes 3 has no direct competition, but it does
open one week after Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean:
Dead Men Tell No Tales finally sets sail on July 7, 2017.

'X-Men' Spinoff 'Gambit' Gets October 2016 Release Date

Earlier today, 20th Century Fox announced that they had
broken the Worldwide box office record by grossing over
$5.5 billion in 2014. Now, in response to that, they've
decided to have a little fun with their release calendar,
shifting a few dates while officially confirming one of their
much anticipated superhero adventures.
That's right. X-Men spinoff Gambit is officially heading into
production, and will be released on October 7, 2016.
Channing Tatum will headline the movie as the popular
cajun energy manipulator, with the mutant's standalone
adventure arriving in theaters just five months after X-Men:
Apocalypse debuts in May of that year. It has not been
revealed at this time if Channing Tatum will be introduced
as Gambit in X-Men: Apocalypse . Gambit will actually be the
third X-Men movie of 2016, as Deadpool will debut in
February.
Gambit may have some competition in October of next year,
as it is set to go against Monster High , based on the hugely
popular Mattel toy line. It is also opening up against Batman
v Superman: Dawn of Justice star Ben Affleck 's non-
superhero drama Live by Night .
Fox has also swapped around some of its bigger upcoming
sequels. Originally set for release on July 29, 2016, Dawn of
the Planet of the Apes follow-up Planet of the Apes 3 is
now being moved almost an entire year to July 14, 2017,
taking The Fantastic Four 2 's old spot. It, in the meantime,
is getting pushed up to June 2, 2017.
The highly anticipated video game adaptation Assassin's
Creed, starring Michael Fassbender, will arrive just in time
for Christmas next year, as it is now set to open on
December 21, 2016. It arrives in theaters just a few days
after the Untitled Gareth Edwards Directed Star Wars Spin-
Off on December 16. Other release dates announced by
20th Century Fox include The Greatest Showman on Earth
starring Hugh Jackman , which will hit theaters just four
days after Assassin's Creed on Christmas Day, December
25, 2016. The comedy Mike & Dave Need Wedding
Dates from "Funny or Die" director Jake Szymanski is
arriving July 29, 2016, and the aThe Mountain Between Us
with Rosamund Pike and Charlie Hunnam arrives February

'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice' Trailer, Teaser & News: Official Trailer Date Details [Rumors]

One of the most discussed and highly anticipated films is
superhero flick "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice."
While director Zack Snyder has been teasing audiences
with set photos over social media, it isn't enough. Now,
multiple reports estimate that the trailer will drop on Feb. 6,
in line with the debut of "Jupiter Ascending."

'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' Rumored to Be Split Into 2 Movies. We Do Not Believe This

There's a new rumor traveling like wildfire across the
Internet that claims Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
will be split into two movies. The first would be released
Oct. 23, 2015, while the second would hit the date of
March 25, 2016.
As expected, many fans gravitated toward the rumor
with great excitement and hope. After all, who wouldn't
want to see two Batman v Superman movies in just 5
months? We definitely would, but let us be sensible about
this; it is never going to happen.
A lot of prominent entertainment websites have run with
this rumor as if it were true, never once considering that
this whole thing is bogus.
