'Mission: Impossible 5' Gets New July 2015 Release Date

Good news for Tom Cruise fans! Paramount Pictures has
moved the impending sequel Mission: Impossible 5 from it's
Christmas Day 2015 release slot to a much more appealing
summer date. The shift was presumably made to get the
movie out of the way of next winter's Star Wars: The Force
Awakens , which is set to open a week earlier on December
18.
Mission: Impossible 5 moves from December 25 to July 31,
a full five months earlier than expected. While no plot
details have been officially divulged at this time, it is known
that Tom Cruise will return as Ethan Hunt. He will be joined
by past franchise stars Jeremy Renner , Paula Patton, Ving
Rhames and Simon Pegg . Director Christopher McQuarrie ,
who worked with Tom Cruise on the 2012 adaptation Jack
Reacher , has already completed principal photography on
Mission: Impossible 5 , and is in the midst of pos-production
on the film. A trailer is expected to arrive shortly.
Paramount recenlty moved the Sacha Baron Cohen comedy
Grimsby out of the July 31 release slot, and now we know
why. Mission: Impossible 5 will go up against Warner Bros.'
Point Break remake, Focus Features' Selfless and The
Weinstein Company's boxing drama Southpaw on this new
date. Which one are you going to see?
Mission: Impossible 5 comes to theaters December 25th,
2015 and stars Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton,
Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Alec Baldwin, Rebecca Ferguson,
Simon McBurney. The film is directed by Christopher
