'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' Premiere Date March 2016, New Cast Rumors

A sequel to "Man of Steel" is now looking to
premiere on March 25, 2016 and will feature
the rivalry between Batman and Superman.
The film will be titled "Batman v Superman:
Dawn of Justice" and will take place after the
events of the Kryptonian attack on Metropolis
which killed thousands of people.
In the film, Batman who will be played by Ben
Affleck holds Superman (Henry Cavill)
accountable for the attack which destroyed the
city. Along the way, the two heroes will form
the partnership which will eventually create the
Justice League.
The film will be directed by Zack Snyder and
written by Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer.
Amy Adams will return to play as Lois Lane,
while new characters will be introduced in the
film. Gal Gadot will play as Princess Diana
(Wonder Woman) and Jesse Eisenberg will be
playing as Superman's greatest enemy Lex
Luthor.
Comic book superhero movies are now a
phenomenon with Marvel's move on the "Iron
Man" series or the "Avengers." DC Comics is
trying to catch up with their own releases of
comic book adaptations, one of which includes
Superman and Batman.
Batman movies have been a standard comic
book adaptations with various versions getting
a release throughout the years. However, none
have been more striking and more appealing
than Christopher Nolan's "Batman Begins"
series starting in 2005, which ended with "The
Dark Knight Rises" in 2012.
Superman movies have also been a staple with
numerous adaptations throughout the years
but the Superman film of 2013 titled "Man of
Steel" is looking to renew the franchise to pave
the way for a Justice League movie.
