Is 'Rambo 5' Officially Titled 'Rambo: Last Blood'?

Right before The Expendables 3 tanked at the
box office this past summer, creator and star
Sylvester Stallone revealed that he will next
return to the world of Vietnam Vet John Rambo
in Rambo 5. Now, a new rumor claims that the
official title of this final sequel is Rambo: Last
Blood .
A reader at Coming Soon reportedly dropped the
title in their lap with no further information. The
report claims this will officially be Sylvester
Stallone's last go at the character, and he plans
on directing the movie himself.
About taking on Rambo 5 as his next project,
the action icon previously stated:
"I'm getting ready for that. I'm starting to work
out. I'm going to be appropriately vicious and
all that stuff, but intellectual. A killer with a
heart. Smart, yet stupid. Tall, yet short. Broad,
but thin. You know what I mean. We're going to
try to cover all the boundaries."
Back in June, Splendid Media acquired the rights
to the franchise. The storyline is rumored to
have John Rambo going up against a deadly
Mexican drug cartel, with Sly himself writing the
screenplay.
In the past, Rambo 5 has been called Rambo:
Last Stand and Rambo V: The Savage Hunt . Is
Rambo: Last Blood the final title? We won't
know until it's made official.
Rambo: Last Blood is in development and stars
Julie Benz , Sylvester Stallone, Mickey Rourke.
The film is directed by Sylvester Stallone.
