Is Denzel Washington Too Old to Play 'Black Panther'?

If we're to believe the ramblings of Stan Lee ,
Marvel is gearing up to introduce Black Panther
into the Marvel Cinematic Universe soon. And
while actors such as Djimon Hounsou , Chadwick
Boseman and John Boyega have all thrown their
hat in the ring to play the character, one man
stands above the rest as a true legend. And
that is Denzel Washington . Sadly, he may be
too old to take on the role.
Denzel Washington recently conducted a Reddit
AMA on Friday for his upcoming action thriller
The Equalizer, where he joked about the idea of
possibly playing T'Challa on the big screen.
CinemaBlend later caught up with the actor to
get his real take on possibly joining the Marvel
Cinematic Universe, and if it happens, it will
probably be in a role similar to Robert Redford
in Captain America: The Winter Soldier .
This is what he had to say:
"I'm probably getting too old. They didn't make
the Black Panther yet, though, did they? I heard
that they have been talking about it. That's
cool."
Do you think Denzel Washington is too old to
play Black Panther ? At 59, he would be the
oldest member of the Avengers, with Robert
Downey Jr. currently the oldest at 49, and
Elizabeth Olsen the youngest at 25. Would it be
interesting to have an older superhero? Ten
years older at 69, Michael Douglas is playing
Hank Pym in Ant-Man after all.
