'Star Wars 7' X-Wing Pilot Plot Details and Set Photos

Following the aerial set photos revealed on
Tuesday, Latino Review has gotten their hands on
some more behind-the-scenes photos from the
set of Star Wars: Episode VII featuring another
look at the Millennium Falcon and a group of re-
designed X-Wings in a variety of colors. These
spy photos were taken on the Greenham Common
set in the U.K. Take a look, and then read on for
how these different X-wings will play a crucial
role in Star Wars: Episode VII...

Latino Review kick off their latest rumored scoop
story with a dig at director J.J. Abrams ' latest
Tweet, which, if you remember, teases an Imperial
presence on set. While the site calls the photo in
question a shill for Apple, they also suggest that
there might be a third Death Star in the works.
Though it seems implausible, don't put it past
J.J. Abrams , who is working hard to recall the
first three films.
And one sure way he will be doing that is with an
epic X-Wing fight that will utilize the different
colored X-Wings you see in the above picture.
While it is neat to see a blue, chrome and even
Imperial black X-Wing, it's speculated that this
color coding is more about selling toys that it is
about the actual storyline. Though each new
individual X-Wing will belong to a different Rogue
Squadron member.
The Greenham Common set where the X-Wings
and Millennium Falcon are parked used to house
nukes in the 1990s. Its a unique looking place, as
you can see in the above photos, and it will be
seen in the movie as the docking bay. It is said
to be reminiscent of Yavin IV with a touch of
Echo Base.
If you look closely at the photos, you will see 2D
standees of X-Wings, which will later be digitally
added to the film, along with the practical
vehicles.
Latino Review goes onto explain that there are a
lot of X-Wing pilots in the movie, but specifically
four pilots who will play supporting roles. Though
they note, these might also be four supporting
characters who 'pilot' an X-Wing without
belonging to a specific squad.
The Black X-Wing belongs to one of the lead
characters. It is not known which actor will be
seen flying the black X-Wing through this galaxy
far, far away, but it won't be Oscar Isaac, who is
previously rumored to be the new owner of the
Millennium Falcon, which is parked here alongside
the X-Wings. It is suggested that John Boyega,
who is rumored to be an AWOL and disgruntled
Stormtrooper, will be flying the black and chrome
X-Wing, which matches his black and chrome
Stormtrooper armor.
It was previously rumored that the third spin-off
will be called Red Five and follows a squadron of
X-Wing fighters. Is Star Wars: Episode VII helping
to establish these characters?
