'Gotham' Preview Profiles Ben McKenzie as Detective Gordon

Fox keeps introducing fans to the main Gotham
characters one featurette at a time, with today's
video highlighting James Gordon, following The
Penguin and Fish Mooney introductions earlier
this week.
Series star Ben McKenzie reveals that Gordon is
fresh out of the military, returning to his
hometown of Gotham for the first time in more
than a decade, as he comes to grips with how
the city has changed. Series creator Bruno Heller
reveals that the show changes up Gordon's
comic book origin, where he and his partner
Harvey Bullock ( Donal Logue) are the ones who
investigate the murders of Thomas and Martha
Wayne, parents of eventual Batman Bruce
Wayne ( David Mazouz). Take a look at the
latest footage and interviews from the Gotham
cast and crew before the series debuts Monday,
September 22 at 8 PM ET on Fox.
